Our Annual San Mateo Master Marlins Soup Dinner was held Saturday evening, January 23, at the San Mateo Senior Center. Well over 100 Marlins and their guests attended.
Kudos to emcee Joel Swartz who dazzled us all with clear, polished delivery of announcements and the awards. Head Coach Scott Williams was introduced and spoke about his goals for the Marlins. The members of the Marlins Swim Committee were unanimously elected to another one-year term.
Congratulations to Soup Dinner organizer Nancy Littlefield and all the volunteers for putting on this wonderful event!
The winning soup recipe in the non-vegetarian category was prepared by Mark Thomsen for his Caldo Verde soup. CLICK HERE to view his winning recipe. Congratulations, Mark!
Would all the others who won soup and dessert awards please send your recipes to Volunteer Webmaster so we can post them on this page.
